Opening teaching preview

The opening teaching describes Christians in several nations praying expectantly for spiritual revival. It presents prayer and fasting as preparation for awakening and calls believers to seek a life-changing work of the Holy Spirit rather than settle for faith in name only.

The following pages survey selected revival movements and people who prayed, fasted, preached, and served in those seasons. Those accounts remain the author’s historical presentation. Individual figures, quotations, healing accounts, and political references are not repeated here without the separate review they require.

For this journey, the invitation is expressed simply: seek God, pray for changed lives and communities, and let fasting turn the heart toward repentance, love, truth, and service.
